Privacy policy

This page explains what information milepostsafety.com collects and how it is used. It covers this website only. The Milepost Compliance client portal at compliance.milepostsafety.com is a separate application and is not covered by this page.
The contact form
When you send an inquiry, we receive the details you enter: your name, company or firm, email address, phone number, the type of inquiry you select, and your message. Fleet size and what prompted the inquiry are optional. Name, email and message are required.
With each submission our server also records the date and time it was received, your IP address, your browser's user-agent string, and whether the form's security check passed. The submission is saved on our web server and emailed to [email protected] so we can reply.
To limit repeated or automated submissions, the server keeps a short record of recent submission times for each IP address and uses it to refuse more than five submissions from the same address within an hour.
We keep contact-form submissions for as long as needed to respond to and follow up on your inquiry.
Please do not send confidential, privileged, or case-specific material through the form. An inquiry does not create an engagement, confidentiality obligation, or conflict clearance.
Spam protection
The contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to check that submissions come from a person. Turnstile runs in your browser when the form loads, and when you submit, our server sends the Turnstile result and your IP address to Cloudflare to confirm it. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Analytics
We use Plausible Analytics to count page visits. Plausible also records when you follow a link to another website, and when you click certain buttons and links on this site, such as "Request a Consultation" or "Client login". When the contact form is submitted, Plausible records the inquiry type and "what prompted this" selections. It does not receive your name, email, phone number or message. See Plausible's data policy.
Hosting and email addresses
This website is delivered through Cloudflare. Cloudflare's email address obfuscation hides the email addresses on these pages from automated scrapers; it runs in your browser and does not change how the addresses work for you.
Questions and requests
To ask about the information we hold about you, or to request that it be corrected or deleted, write to [email protected].
